DESIGN COMMISSION & COLLABORATION - ARTISTS & OBJECTS
Artists & Objects present the new wave of exciting, absorbing art and design coming out of the best studios and practices across the UK today. The interiors store showcases handcrafted collections by UK-based makers as well as in-house designs. In 2019 Studio AO commissioned Line Nilsen to weave the Zig Zag fabric for one of their own designs, which was a wonderful experience that has led to an ongoing working relationship.
‘Earlier this year I commissioned Line to create a handwoven fabric which would become a cushion for a bench I designed. I loved the process of working together and seeing my design grow from initial conversations and sketches to samples and material trials.’ Adam Watts, Artists & Objects.

HAND WOVEN LIGHT
Lampshades developed with translucency in mind; the objective is to not block the light, but rather soften it.

All lampshades are bespoke, made with textured fabrics that are gentle and beautifully hand crafted. Available as made up lampshades or fabric by the metre. Please allow 4-6 weeks lead time.

The leather weft is hand cut from eco suede, a thicker quality of leather which gives a three dimensional effect to the weave.
FURNITURE COLLABORATION - ARNE BENCH
Presenting ARNE, a collaboration project between highly skilled furniture maker Juan Junca at Studio Manolo and Line Nilsen.

ARNE is an elegantly handcrafted beech bench covered in DATA, a handwoven textile made from cotton and hand-cut leather. The leather weft is hand cut from eco suede, a thick quality leather that gives a three-dimensional effect to the weave.

BESPOKE Textiles and Cushions
All bespoke developments and woven cushions are made to order, woven by hand using mechanical floor looms in our Nottingham studio. Printed cushions are designed, printed and made in the UK, using the finest cotton velvet and silk satin fabric.
